Seth Rogen, Bill Hader and Zach Galifianakis to Star in ‘The Somethings’

Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis and Bill Hader are attached to star in Universal’s sci-fi comedy “The Somethings,” which sources confirm the studio has officially greenlit.

“21 Jump Street” scribe Rodney Rothman will make his directorial debut. Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver produce under their Point Grey Pictures banner. Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake executive produce.

The pic follows a group of male astronauts, who, after being stuck in space for years, come upon another ship.

Exec VP of production Erik Baiers and director of development Chloe Yellin will oversee the project for Universal. Vice president of production Erin Westerman will oversee for Good Universe, and director of development Alex McAtee will oversee for Point Grey.

Rogen recently wrapped “The Disaster Artist” at New Line and can be seen next in “Neighbors: Sorority Rising.” Hader was last seen in “Trainwreck” opposite Amy Schumer.

Galifianakis can currently be seen in FX’s “Baskets.” All three actors are repped by UTA with Rothman also repped by Ziffren Brittenham and Rogen also repped by Gotham/Principal. Galifianakis is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
