Kate McKinnon, Ilana Glazer, Jillian Bell Join Scarlett Johansson Comedy ‘Rock That Body’

Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell and Ilana Glaser have joined Scarlett Johansson in the Sony comedy “Rock That Body.”

Variety was first to report last week that Zoe Kravitz is in talks to co-star in the movie.

Lucia Aniello (“Broad City”) will direct the film and produce along with Paul W. Downs through their Paulilu banner with Matt Tolmach and Dave Becky. Downs is also attached to star.

The script, which appeared on the 2015 Black List, was penned by Aniello and Downs, and acquired by Sony last summer following a fierce bidding war. Jonathan Kadin is overseeing for the studio.

The R-rated comedy centers on five friends who rent a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend that goes completely off the rails.

McKinnon, who is a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” can be seen next in Sony’s “Ghostbuster” reboot, opening this summer. Bell will appear in DreamWorks’ “Office Christmas Party” and recently wrapped “Fist Fight” for New Line. Glazer stars on Comedy Central’s “Broad City.”

McKinnon is represented by UTA and Principato-Young, while Bell is repped by UTA and 3 Arts. Glazer is also repped by UTA.
