Mark Webber, Madeline Brewer to Star in Indie Drama ‘Flesh and Blood’

“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” actor Mark Webber is on board to write, direct and star in “Flesh and Blood.”

Webber self-financed and will produce the film through his Poor Rich Kids banner. The movie also stars “Orange Is the New Black” actor Madeline Brewer.

The film is is partially based on Webber’s real life upbringing, and the struggles he encountered with being homeless. Production is currently under way in Philadelphia.

“‘Flesh and Blood’ is the most personal film I have done, or probably will ever do,” Webber said. “I am very excited for the world to see the real places and faces that made for a difficult, but cherished backstory of my life.”

Webber most recently self-financed “The Ever After,” starring himself and Teresa Palmer. He can be seen next in A24’s “The Green Room.”

Webber and Brewer are both repped by Inphenate, along with Schreck, Rose, Dapello and Adams.
