‘Hemlock Grove’ Actress Kaniehtiio Horn to Star in Horror-Actioner ‘Mohawk’ and Snowfort Pictures have launched production on horror-actioner “Mohawk,” starring “Hemlock Grove” actress Kaniehtiio Horn.
Principle photography began Tuesday in upstate New York with Ted Geoghegan directing. The new project reteams Geoghegan with “We Are Still Here” producer Travis Stevens, producer Greg Newman and co-screenwriter Grady Hendrix, author of “Horrorstör.”
Horn portrays a young Mohwak pursued by ruthless renegade soldiers after one of her tribe sets an American soldier’s camp ablaze, leading to a battle deep in the woods.
Others cast in the film include WWE star Jon Huber, Justin Rain, Noah Segan, Ian Colletti, Robert Longstreet, Sheri Foster, Ezra Buzzington and Andrew Sensenig.
“We Are Still Here” premiered at SXSW last year and was released by MPI domestically through its genre division, Dark Sky Films. It hit No. 1 on iTunes Horror.
Snowfort Pictures is currently in post-production on Karyn Kusama’s segment for the horror anthology film “XX.”
