Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathryn Hahn Join ‘Bad Moms’ Comedy

Jada Pinkett Smith and Kathryn Hahn are joining STX’s untitled comedy, formerly known as “Bad Moms,” now shooting in New Orleans.

The project is written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Christina Applegate had been announced previously as cast members.

Producers are Bill Block (“Fury”) and Suzanne Todd (“Alice in Wonderland”). The comedy is scheduled for release on Aug. 19.

Hahn will play a suburban mother along with Kunis, Bell and Applegate — who’s the president of the PTA. Pinkett Smith will play one of Applegate’s friends.

Kunis will play a mother who makes it look easy but is at her breaking point — too over-worked, over-committed and over-exhausted to take one more demand from anyone. The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood.
