GVN Releasing Pacts With Sony Pictures Home Entertainment

GVN Releasing and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have signed a multi-year worldwide home entertainment distribution agreement, Variety has learned exclusively.

SPHE will distribute and market GVN Releasing’s films globally in both physical and digital formats.

GVN is an independent distributor of inspirational and family-friendly content targeted toward women as well as faith-based and family audiences. Its upcoming titles include “A Girl Like Grace,” starring Meagan Good, Raven-Symone, Garcelle Beauvais and Romeo Miller; “The Fight Within,” starring John Majors; and “Freeway Ricky Ross,” directed by Reginald Hudlin from a script by the Clune brothers and Nick Cassavetes.

GVN Releasing recently completed a joint venture with RGM-New Breed to form RGM-New Breed Film Group, which will produce and market five films theatrically over the next three years, with SPHE set to handle all home entertainment distribution. RGM-New Breed focuses on faith and family-friendly films, Christian and gospel music, and uplifting television programming.

“GVN Releasing distributes quality, compelling films and we expect strong performances for these titles on both physical and digital home entertainment platforms,” said Ben Means, SPHE’s senior VP of third party partnerships.
