Graham Skipper’s Thriller ‘Mind’s Eye’ Gets Distribution

RLJ Entertainment has acquired all North American rights to the telekenesis thriller “The Mind’s Eye,” starring Graham Skipper. Joe Begos directed from his own script. The film reunites him with Skipper, who starred in his 2013 horror film “Almost Human.”

“The Mind’s Eye” made its world premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and won the award for best director of a horror feature at the 2015 Fantastic Fest.

RLJE plans to release “The Mind’s Eye” in theaters and VOD later this year. Lauren Ashley Carter (“Premium Rush”), John Speredakos (“The House of the Devil”) and Noah Segan also star.

“Joe has an amazing eye and a clear love of old-school genre films,” said RLJE’s Mark Ward. “His first feature had a cult following, and we are excited to share his new vision of horror with audiences.”

Skipper and Carter portray people with telekinetic powers, who discover a doctor (played by Speredakos) whom they believe can help them. But they soon learn that the doctor’s real intentions are to drain their abilities from them so he can use them for himself.

“The Mind’s Eye” is produced by Begos, Josh Ethier, Skipper and Zak Zeman.

Jess De Leo and Ward negotiated the deal with ICM Partners and Wayne Alexander on behalf of the filmmakers. Begos is repped by ICM Partners.
