The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the timetable for the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards, starting with an Oct. 31 deadline for submitting nominations.
The ceremony will be held on Jan. 8, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with the telecast airing live on NBC at 5 p.m. PST.
Nomination ballots will be mailed to members by Nov. 25 and must be received by Dec. 9. Nominations will be announced on Dec. 12, with final ballots mailed on Dec. 19 and a Jan. 4 deadline for receipt.
The Golden Globes are produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the HFPA.
The HFPA, composed of foreign journalists based in Los Angeles, tweaked its eligibility rules in April in multiple categories, including the definition of comedy vs. drama.
The HFPA noted that NBC’s telecast of 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards scored as the No. 1 entertainment telecast on the Big 4 networks for the primetime week of Jan. 4-10, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research.
