Cory Hardrict has been tapped to play the infamous Hatian Jack in Morgan Creek’s Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez on Me.”

He joins Danai Gurira, Kat Graham, Jamie Hector and Demetrius Shipp Jr. in the film. “All Eyez on Me” chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor, his imprisonment and his time at Death Row Records.

Haitian Jack was the most feared man in the music industry at the time, known for his extortion and strong-armed tactics in the hip-hop community. This relationship proved to be a very dangerous one for Tupac.

“All Eyez on Me” is directed by Benny Boom. The film’s title is taken from Shakur’s fourth studio album, which was released in early 1996.

The film is produced by James G. Robinson and David Robinson of Morgan Creek Productions along with LT Hutton. Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, serves as executive producer. The film will be distributed by Open Road.

Following his breakout role opposite Bradley Cooper in “American Sniper,” Hardrict has a handful of pics set to bow in the next year including Legendary’s supernatural action pic “Spectral” and the Chloe Moretz drama “November Criminals.” He also has the indie “Car Dogs” opposite Octavia Spencer.

He is repped by Paradigm and Authentic, and his attorney is Karl Austin.
