“Lake Bodom,” the buzzed-about Scandi genre movie that just played at Sitges and London Film Festival, has been sold by London-based outfit Film Constellation across several territories.

Directed by Taneli Mustonen, who last helmed Finland’s top-grossing comedy “The Reunion,” “Lake Bodom” has sold to Germany (Koch Media), Japan (New Select), and the Middle East (Falcon Films) ahead of its market screening at the AFM on Thursday.

Co-written and produced by Aleksi Hyvarinen, the movie just earned Mimosa Willamo a best actress award at Screamfest film festival last weekend.

The movie turns on a group of teenagers who go camping at Lake Bodom, where four teenagers were stabbed to death in 1960, hoping to solve the unsolved murder case.

Film Constellation was launched earlier this year by Fabien Westerhoff, a former head of sales and distribution at WestEnd Films and HanWay Films, in partnership with Films Distribution.
