Shooting is starting in Alabama at the end of November. The Exchange is handling international sales at next week’s American Film Market for “Office Uprising,” which was first introduced to buyers at Berlin in February.
Thwaites is portraying an underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm who finds that his co-workers have been “weaponized” by a new energy drink designed for the military. He must then set off to rescue his one true love from an office building full of psychotic coworkers armed with deadly tech.
Thwaites stars in the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” “Office Uprising” also stars Jane Levy and Ian Harding.
Oeding is directing from a script by Ian Shorr (“Splinter”) and Peter Gamble Robinson. The film is produced by Giulia Prenna, Jim Steele, and Sean Lydiard. Thwaites is an executive producer and Dan Spilo is a co-executive producer.
“Lin’s action expertise paired with his vision for ‘Office Uprising’ will create a big screen experience for the genre aficionados,” said Brian O’Shea of The Exchange. The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood.
