Animated pic specialist Gold Valley Films is launching an international sales company, Gold Valley Films Intl., with Ariel Veneziano on board as president.

Veneziano will  oversee worldwide sales, acquisitions, distribution, and marketing.

Gold Valley Films Intl.’s first animated feature title is “Cinderella 3D,” an adaptation of the fairy tale that’s budgeted at $20 million. The film is written by Francis Glebas, whose credits include “The Lion King” and “Aladdin,” and directed by Lynne Southerland (“Mulan 2”).

The film is currently in production with planned completion in May 2017. The story centers on the prince having fallen under an evil spell cast by a witch. Cinderella and her friends must embark on a perilous journey to restore the prince to his true self.

Gold Valley previously produced “Snow White: The New Adventure,” “The Little Mermaid: Attack of the Pirates,” and “Toy’s War,” which Gold Valley Film Intl. will also be handling for worldwide distribution.

Veneziano  served as president at International Film Trust, Icon Entertainment Intl., and GreeneStreet Films Intl. “This venture is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best in the animation business,” said Veneziano.
