CANNES — Guillermo Del Toro is set to give a master class at the Annecy Intl. Animated Film Festival, where he will be unveiling exclusive footage from his latest show, DreamWorks Animation’s ‘”Trollhunters.”
During his master class, the Oscar-nominated Mexican filmmaker will discuss his diverse career as a director, producer and author of innovative graphic novels, TV series and feature-length films.
DreamWorks Animation has said “Trollhunters” “will unleash a new, fantastical world wrapped around two best friends who make a startling discovery beneath their hometown.” The series will stream exclusively on Netflix, as part of its agreement with DreamWorks Animation.
Del Toro’s master class will take place on June 15.
Annecy has just announced a partnership with Cannes Film Market (marché du film) to showcase a selection of animated projects at the confab as part of an initiative called “Goes to Cannes.”
