Gaspard Ulliel, the star of Xavier Dolan’s “This is Only the End of the World,” is set to topline in “9 Doigts,” a noir thriller directed by F.J. Ossang (“Dharma Guns”).

Paris-based Capricci Films has taken French distribution rights and is handling international sales on the movie.

Produced by Sebastien Haguenauer at France’s 10:15 Productions and Portugal’s high-profile outfit O Som e a Fúria, “9 Doigts” turns on a fugitive hunted down by police and a gang after unexpectedly inheriting a large amount of money from a dying man. Ossang wrote the original script.

Ulliel stars opposite Pascal Greggory (“Section Zero”), Paul Hamy (“Disorder”) and Damien Bonnard (“Stay Vertical”)

The shooting has just started in France and Portugal.

Ossang’s latest film “Dharma Guns” was competed at Venice while his 2007 short “Silencio” won France’s Vigo prize.
