PARIS– Dany Boon, the actor/director of megahit of “Welcome To The Sticks” (“Bienvenue Chez Les Cht’is”) and “Nothing to Declare,” is set to make his fifth directorial outing with “Raid Dingue,” an action-packed laffer set in the world of France’s elite police.

The fish-out-of-water comedy stars Alice Pol (“Supercondriaque”) as Jo, a clumsy cop who dreams of working for the RAID, France’s anti-gang squad whose mission is to fight violent crimes and terrorism. Joe’s father, who is an influential minister, pulls strings to get her into the elite unit, hoping Jo will change her mind after working with Eugene Froissard (“Dany Boon”), a loser close to retirement.

“Raid” is produced by Pathe, Boon’s Les Productions du Chicon and Belgian shingle Artemis. Pathe is also handles international sales and is set to distribute the movie in France.

“Welcome To The Sticks” was a huge hit, grossing $245 million worldwide; while “Nothing to Declare” grossed $90 million.

“Raid” will shoot in France and Belgium starting late February.
