CANNES — Amazon and STX Entertainment have teamed up to take world rights on Nash Edgerton’s untitled action comedy.

The picture boasts a stellar cast of David Oyelowo, Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Thandie Newton, Yul Vazquez, Sharlto Copley and Edgerton’s brother Joel. Shooting is currently under way in Mexico.

At Cannes, STX is introducing the picture about a newly married executive who has a stake in a pharmaceutical company that’s about to go public when his life is thrown into turmoil by an incident in Mexico. He’s stranded with a price on his head and discovers that the life he had never really existed in the first place.

Anthony Tambakis and Matt Stone wrote the screenplay. Producers are Amazon Studios, Nash Edgerton, Rebecca Yeldham, A.J. Dix, Beth Kono and Tambakis; Trish Hofmann is exec producing.

Nash Edgerton made his feature directorial debut with the Australian thriller “The Square,” written by Joel Edgerton and Matthew Dabner, and starring David Roberts and Claire van der Boom.
