Ethan Hawke and “Straight Outta Compton” casting director Cindy Tolan will serve as jurors for the 6th annual Lower East Side Film Festival in New York.

The festival will run June 9 to 16 at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema, Hotel Indigo, the new Ludlow House and other downtown venues. The fest showcases low-budget and independent films from across the globe.

Steve Farneth of Cinetic Media and Raul Castillo of the HBO series “Looking” will also serve as judges.

Festival Director Shannon Walker said, “LESFF is for everyone — cinephiles and casual theatergoers alike, and we’re very excited to have such an eclectic panel of judges that bring such different experiences and expertise to our fest this year.”

Hawke has been nominated for two Academy Awards for supporting actor for “Training Day” and “Boyhood” and two for the screenplays for “Before Sunset” and “Before Midnight.”

Tolan has been a casting director for “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Flight Of the Concords.” Her theater projects include “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime,” “Betrayal,” “Cinderella,” “A View From the Bridge,” “All My Sons” and “Avenue Q.”

Farneth is a 10-year veteran at Cinetic Media, overseeing the company’s recently opened Los Angeles office and serving as head of finance and as a talent manager.

Variety included Castillo in its list of “10 Latinos to Watch.” He’s finished filming the pilot for ABC Studios’ “The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez” and recently completed production on two independent films: “Sweets” (directed by R.E Rodgers) and “Permission” with Rebecca Hall (directed by Brian Crano).

Castillo also recently wrapped production on the Netflix feature film “Special Correspondents,” written and directed by Ricky Gervais.
