YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Having settled state-side into a privately guarded and celeb-packed enclave in Beverly Hills, British pop-chanteuse Adele and her romantic partner/baby daddy Simon Konecki are reported to have dumped their seaside villa in Portslade near Brighton in the U.K. for £2,850,000, an amount our handy-dandy currency conversion contraption shows equal to $3,734,730 at today’s rates. So the celebrity real estate story goes, the couple bought the Art Deco-inspired house in 2012 for £2.5 million, $3,276,080 at today’s rates. Not for lack of looking, we turned up no evidence of digitally accessible marketing materials for the property but reports out of the U.K. say the two-story home was updated and upgraded by the singer and features a double-height atrium along with open plan living spaces that open to a seaside terrace, “plush kitchen area,” and four bedrooms that include a master with walk-in closet and dressing room.

The house sits along a rugged, pebbled stretch of beach on a private street that, despite being directly behind an unattractive collection of maritime warehouses, is often referred to as “Millionaire’s Row.” Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills once owned one of the white-washed homes, which she sold in late 2012 for a reported £2.7 million — $3,538,160 at today’s rates — to DJ Norman “Fatboy Slim” Cook and radio and television personality Zöe Ball, and some of the other homes along the lane are said to be owned by actor Nick Berry, star of the late and iconic 1980s soap story “EastEnders,” and comedian David Walliams, co-creator and co-star with Matt Lucas of the long defunct but perennially hilariousLittle Britain” sketch comedy program.

Earlier this year the golden-throated 10-time Grammy winner paid $9.5 million for a not-quite 6,600-square-foot Beverly Hills home with four bedrooms and six bathrooms that she bought from 13-time Emmy-winning live event producer Don Mischner. Some of her famous new neighbors in BevHills include Jennifer Lawrence, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
