Pokemon Go Now More Popular Than Candy Crush and Draw Something

Pokemon Go has become the most popular mobile game in the history of mobile gaming in the U.S., according to new data from Surveymonkey. The augmented reality game now has more U.S.-based smart phone users than hit games like Candy Crush and Draw something, according to the company’s estimates.

Neither Nintendo nor the Pokemon Company or game maker Niantic Labs have released any official numbers about Pokemon Go, so these estimates have to be taken with a grain of salt.

However, it’s clear that Pokemon Go has been a huge hit ever since its release last week. Google Play data shows that the game now has been download between 10 and 50 million times on Android alone. Similarweb estimates that the game is now installed on 10.8 percent of all U.S. Android phones. In New Zealand, that number is even at 15 percent.

Pokemon Go has also been installed by other users around thew globe, despite the fact that the game isn’t officially available in most countries yet. Many users have been flocking to third-party app stores to download the game for their Android phone, with installs reaching 6.8 percent of all Android phones in the Netherlands and 6.3 percent in Canada.
