Todd Barrish has joined Endemol Shine Beyond USA, Endemol Shine North America’s digital division, as executive VP of creative partnerships.
Most recently, Barrish was senior VP of global strategic partnerships at Disney’s Maker Studios. In the new role, he reports to Bonnie Pan, president of Endemol Shine Beyond USA, herself a former Maker exec.
Barrish worked closely with Pan at Maker Studios, where she was executive VP of programming before joining Endemol Shine Beyond in March. In his new role at Endemol Shine Beyond, Barrish will lead all content licensing, commercial partnerships and branded entertainment initiatives.
“Todd is the ideal executive to lead Endemol Shine Beyond USA in developing innovative new partnerships with both brands and licensees,” Pan said in a statement. “As we look to build on Beyond’s initial success, Todd’s wealth of experience, passion for storytelling and industry relationships will play a critical role in our continued growth.”
Barrish had been with Maker Studios since 2011. He led the team that launched Maker Offers, the company’s programmatic native content technology solution, and helped streamline Maker’s branded-content group after the multichannel network was acquired by Disney. He also developed and led the Maker-Google co-sales strategy and outside partner strategy initiatives.
Prior to joining Maker Studios, Barrish was VP of sales for Digital Broadcasting Group, where he managed the company’s West Coast sales team. He also worked at Google’s DoubleClick as team lead for rich media.
Last year, Endemol Shine Beyond USA (previously known as Endemol Beyond USA) launched the ICON Network, a lifestyle network with digital star and entrepreneur Michelle Phan, and Smasher, an eSports and gaming network anchored by flagship series “Legends of Gaming.”
