DeBevoise reports to Jim Lanzone, CEO of CBS Interactive, who recently added the newly created role of chief digital officer of CBS Corp, to his oversight of CBSi.
Previously, DeBevoise was CBS Interactive’s executive VP and GM of digital media, leading the digital media businesses of the CBS Television Network. In the new role, DeBevoise adds oversight of CNET Media Group, which encompasses CBS Interactive’s 25 brands in the technology, media and gaming categories, while continuing to lead the digital-media businesses of the CBS Television Network including the development of original content for digital platforms.
In addition to spearheading CBS All Access, DeBevoise led the launch of CBSN, CBS News’ 24-hour digital streaming news service, and oversaw the network’s streaming of Super Bowl 50 across all devices.
“Marc has played an instrumental role in building CBS Interactive into a perennial top 10 Internet property and the largest Internet-based premium-content group in the world,” said Lanzone. “Since joining CBS Interactive, Marc has led some of the most significant areas of the business, specifically building CBS All Access and CBSN into highly successful digital initiatives for CBS.”

DeBevoise joined CBS Interactive in July 2011 from Starz, where he had been the senior VP of digital media, business development and strategy. Before that, he held various roles at NBCUniversal in both digital media and business development, and had worked in JPMorgan’s technology, media and telecommunications investment banking group. He holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Tufts University.
