The event, presented by Mercedes-Benz and Anastasia Beverly Hills on Nov. 17 at Quixote in West Hollywood, will recognize innovators who made an impact on the entertainment industry in the last year.
StyleMakers will spotlight influencers whose work has been featured on shows like “The Voice” and “Friends,” as well as on the pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Fashion designer Zuhair Murad, stylist Petra Flannery, hair stylist Chris McMillan, and make-up artist Rachel Goodwin will be celebrated, along with three other honorees (a costume designer, a female style innovator, and a male style innovator), who will be revealed in the coming months.
“We are happy to collaborate with our sister publication, WWD, to honor the creative artists and influential talent at the forefront of the fusion of fashion and entertainment,” said Variety Co-Editor-in-Chief Claudia Eller.
The event will also include two conversations: one with Murad and the second with the still-unannounced costume designer.
“We’re delighted to be producing our second annual Stylemakers event, recognizing exceptional talents who are sitting right at the creative intersection of fashion and entertainment,” said WWD Editor-in-Chief Ed Nardoza.
The inaugural StyleMakers celebration honored fashion designer Zac Posen, style influencer Freida Pinto, costume designer Lyn Paolo, stylist Elizabeth Stewart, hair stylist Jen Atkin, make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, and photographer Matthew Rolston.
“It’s an honor to have such a significant presence at the second annual Stylemakers event,” said Anastasia Soare, founder and CEO of Anastasia Beverly Hills, a presenting sponsor. “We’re thrilled to be celebrating top talent where fashion, beauty, and entertainment meet.”
