SiriusXM is suspending Glenn Beck’s show for the coming week on its Patriot Channel after he seemed to agree with a guest who suggested illegal means to remove Donald Trump from office if he is elected president.

The interview last week was with author Brad Thor, who told Beck, “If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional granted authority as president.” Thor called Trump a “danger to America” and said that he was suggesting “something very bad.”

In a statement, SiriusXM said that the comments “may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office, which we cannot and will not condone.”

In addition to the suspension of Beck’s show, SiriusXM said that they were “evaluating its place in our lineup going forward.”

“SiriusXM is committed to a spirited, robust, yet responsible political conversation and believes this action reflects those values,” the company said.

Beck has not yet issued any statement in response.

On Twitter, Thor wrote that Beck is on his regularly scheduled vacation. “He wasn’t suspended,” he wrote.

Stephen Bannon, who hosts a Breitbart News show on the Patriot Channel, read the statement of the suspension on his show.
