The Chicago Cubs had quite a cheering section among showbizzers on Wednesday night as the baseball team ended its 108-year World Series drought with a hard-fought 8-7 win over the Cleveland Indians in Game 7.
Actor Bill Murray, a vocal Cubs fan, was seen exulting in the stands at Cleveland’s Progressive Field as the reality of the Cubs’ win sunk in.
Numerous industryites exchanged color commentary on the epic final game via social media. When the Cubs clinched the win, in the 10th inning after a 17-minute rain delay (lake-effect rain in Cleveland can be unpredictable), the joyous tweets erupted. Here’s a sampling:

Bears won in 85. Bulls won 6 in 90's. Sox won in 05. Blackhawks won in 3 cups this decade. Now the Cubs win in 2016. Second city no more.
