Carrie Fisher Reveals Affair With Harrison Ford While Filming ‘Star Wars’

Carrie Fisher revealed a secret from her days on the set of the original “Star Wars” that she’s been hiding for nearly four decades — her three-month affair with Harrison Ford.

In the actress’ new memoir “The Princess Diarist,” Fisher provides exclusive details about her affair with the then-33-year-old father of two. The pair began their affair after a birthday party for “Star Wars” director George Lucas.

“It was so intense,” Fisher told People. “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”

Fisher also details her insecurities and self-doubt throughout the duration of the affair, which ended when filming wrapped.

“I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she writes in the memoir. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

Fisher tweeted, “I would never talk about how someone was in any furniture–chair, bed, coffee table or otherwise.”

Meanwhile, the internet is in a frenzy over the “Carrison” affair:

“Carrie Fisher CONFIRMS that she and Harrison Ford had an affair!”

“When I find myself in times of trouble, Carrie Fisher whispers words of wisdom: Carrison was real.”

“Carrie Fisher revealed she had an affair with Harrison Ford during the original Star Wars. She also revealed they let Chewbacca watch,” one user joked.

“The Princess Diarist” will be released Tuesday, Nov. 22.
