“Star Trek” and “Heroes” favorite Zachary Quinto will pay a visit to “Hannibal” in the NBC thriller’s third season, Variety has confirmed.

Quinto will play a patient of Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) in at least one episode of the upcoming season, according to EW.

Quinto previously worked with “Hannibal” showrunner Bryan Fuller when the exec producer was writing for “Heroes.” The thesp is currently appearing in another NBC series, “The Slap.”

Season three of “Hannibal” will feature a number of characters from Thomas Harris’ “Red Dragon” novel, including Rutina Wesley as Reba McClane; Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde; and Nina Arianda as Molly Graham. The role of Mason Verger has been recast and will be played by Joe Anderson after Michael Pitt chose to exit the series.

“Hannibal” will return to NBC this summer.
