Wyatt Cenac will soon be seeking answers to the truth that’s clearly out there.

The “Daily Show” vet is one of many who have joined the ranks of TBS comedy pilot “The Group” (working title).

Hailing from Conan O’Brien’s Conaco shingle in association with Warner Horizon Television, the project focuses on Cenac’s curious, accomplished and serious-minded staff journalist (also named Wyatt) in a town called Beacon who finds himself pulled into the fringe world of alien abductees, or “experiencers,” as they like to be called.

O’Brien is exec producing “The Group” along with Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, Dan Halsted, and Greg Daniels. Daniels is directing the pilot, which was written by co-executive producer David Jenkins. Cenac is repped by UTA and David Martin of Avalon Management.

Other cast members include the following:

Alice Wetterlund as Kelly Grady: A goofball who doesn’t realize how attractive she actually is. The character is stuck as a perpetual temp who perpetually dates perpetual a–holes. Wetterlund is repped by 3Arts Entertainment.

Luka Jones as Gerry Johnson: An amiable social dropout and tollbooth worker, he’s also an enthusiastic expert on all things alien. Jones is repped by 3Arts Entertainment.

Tracee Chimo as Chelsea Healey: A strange, high-strung soul in the body of the model housewife, she is hiding something much darker and weirder. Chimo is repped by Lasher Group and Innovative Artists.

Oscar Nuñez as Father Doug: A “hip” priest, he manages the community room rentals at Our Lady of Sorrows in Beacon. Nuñez is repped by Omnipop Talent Group.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Yvonne Watson: Yvonne is one of the more successful door-to-door cosmetic salespeople on the Eastern seaboard. Randolph is repped by Lighthouse Entertainment and Paradigm Talent Agency.

Marylouise Burke as Margaret Flood: A retiree who is taking full advantage of her new-found sexual freedom after moving into a retirement community in Beacon. Burke is repped by BRS/Gage.

Ana Gasteyer as Gina Morrison: A very competent, dedicated and thorough therapist, she has taken a few wrong turns in life and lost her accreditation — which is why she is now running a support group for alien abductees while also working part time at a home furnishing chain store. Gasteyer is repped by Gersh.
