ABC’s upcoming drama “Wicked City” and Fox’s live production of “Grease” are among the latest TV productions added to a list of projects awarded California’s film and TV tax production credits.
Also accepted were the pilots “Paradise Pictures,” for Universal Network Television; “Famous in Love,” for Horizon Scripted Television; and the miniseries “Holding On,” for JCE Films.
The projects were on the wait list for 2015-16 allocations, but about $18 million in tax credits freed up after the team behind the HBO series “Utopia” announced that they were not going into production.
Among the other series picked for credits this year are HBO’s “Veep,” which is relocating from Maryland, and the Showtime update of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks.” The list of projects selected to receive credits can be found on the California Film Commission website.
