We TV has given a series order to hair salon competition show “Cutting It: In the ATL,” and the cabler has renewed two series: “Mary Mary” and “L.A. Hair.”

“Cutting It: In the ATL” will chronicle the hair salon scene in Atlanta, following four salon owners who vie for customers, top stylists and prestige. The new show will bow in May; 10 hourlong episodes have been ordered,

Lauren Gellert, We TV’s exec VP of development and original programming, expressed excitement over the new show. “With the addition of ‘Cutting It’ to our slate, we are strengthening an already incredible lineup of unscripted series that are attracting a diverse audience and stirring chatter across the social-sphere,” Gellert said.

“Cutting It” is produced by Leftfield Pictures, with exec producers Gellert, Brent Montgomery, David George, Jordana Hochman, Robyn Schnieders, David Stefanou and Kate Farrell.

Both “Mary Mary” and “L.A. Hair” will return for fourth seasons. “Mary Mary,” which returns in March, documents the personal and professional lives of singers Erica and Tina Campbell. “L.A. Hair,” which will be back this summer, follows hair salon maven Kim Kimble as she competes with other celebrity stylists to reign supreme in the wig and weave market.
