“Top Chef” is returning with a two-night premiere on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 3.
Bravo’s Emmy and James Beard Award-winning show will be spending its 13th season on the road across California, making stops in LA, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Oakland, the Greater Palm Springs area and San Francisco, where the series first began.
A teaser trailer previewing the latest season hints at the return of the Sudden Death Quickfire challenge, an episode catering “the ultimate gay wedding” and a plating challenge where the chefs’ fate will be determined by Instagram fans. The contestants will also serve food to MC Hammer on the Oakland waterfront and Chrissy Teigen in Palm Springs.
Host Padma Lakshmi and head judge Tom Colicchio are returning alongside judges Gail Simmons, Richard Blais and Emeril Lagasse. Celebrity guest judges will include Hugh Acheson, Max Silvestri, Ludo Lefebvre, Dana Cowin and more.
After the two-night premiere, “Top Chef” will air regularly on Thursday nights at 10 p.m.
