Randall Park, who played Kim Jong-un in “The Interview,” addressed the controversy over the movie during the Television Critics Assn. panel for ABC’s new comedy “Fresh Off the Boat,” in which he co-stars.
“I was never worried about my safety or getting hacked,” he said. “It was crazy to turn on the news and see my face next to Kim Jong-un.”
Joked the show’s executive producer Nahnatchka Khan, “No one wanted to sit next to him on the set.”
That said, added Park, “I’m glad that chapter is done, and I’m looking forward to working on this show.”
