‘Bachelorette’ Winner: Contestants Predict Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Choice

Another round of “The Bachelorette” comes to a close Monday night with Kaitlyn Bristowe making her decision between contestants Shawn Booth and Nick Viall during the finale event.

“I found it very challenging,” Bristowe told Variety of her controversial season, which became known for “breaking the rules” typical of the reality competition by ending many episodes without the standard rose ceremony, in which the Bachelorette eliminates men. She added, “I think it’s the easy way out to break up with them in a rose ceremony where I actually respect these guys so much that I wanted to do it to their face, even if that meant it being way more challenging, or way tougher than it had to be.”

During her season, Bristowe stirred up a social-media frenzy by posting a Snapchat photo of her with Booth, causing fans to wonder if she had spoiled the winner.

Now that the season is coming to a close, Bristowe teases, “I’m very happy.”

The Season 11 suitors spoke with Variety at the taping of “Men Tell All” earlier this month, predicting whom Kaitlyn will choose:

Ben Z: “I’m hoping that Shawn ends up with her. I think they’re great together. I know they’ve had their ups and downs and stuff like that, but I think Shawn is truly in love with her, and I think it’s something that her and Shawn have, which I’m looking for, which is that balance between the serious and the funny, and everything all together. They balance each other out more than Nick.”

Ben H: “I think Nick and Shawn are both very good men. My relationship with Shawn is a little closer. We’re best friends.”

Chris: “I can really see that both of them have a strong connection, and I think that’s awesome. My gut tells me it’s going to be her and Shawn. And I think that they’re the best fit for each other. He got the first impression rose that first night, and I got to see how all that went down. They have awesome chemistry, and I think that’s going to be the way it ends.”

Jared: “I think whoever Kaitlyn picks — be it Nick or Shawn — she will be very happy. I think both guys are there for her. I love Shawn. I really like Nick. I guess there is a part of me that would love for her to pick Shawn because he was there the first night. But that doesn’t take away how I feel about Nick. I think he is absolutely there for Kaitlyn, and I think he handled himself very well on the show. I think if Kaitlyn picks Nick, they will be very, very happy and have a life-long relationship.”
