Syfy has cancelled “Haven,” pulling the plug on the supernatural drama ahead of the premiere of the second half of its fifth season, Variety has confirmed.
The series, which stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Nicholas Campbell and Eric Balfour and was developed by Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn, is based on the Stephen King novel “The Colorado Kid.” A mid-tier sci-fi show for the NBCUniversal Cable-owned channel, it performed solidly for the first couple seasons but never quite caught as much buzz as other programming.
The second half of “Haven’s” fifth season is set to premiere Oct. 8.
The Wrap first broke the news of the cancellation.
