Casting Roundup: Jenna Dewan-Tatum is ‘Supergirl’s’ Lucy Lane; Jack Coleman Back on ‘Castle’

Jenna Dewan-Tatum takes on the DC Comics world and a familiar face returns to “Castle” in today’s casting roundup.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum is flying over to CBS with a recurring gig on “Supergirl,” Variety has confirmed. The “Witches of East End” alum has been tapped to play comic character Lucy Lane, the sister of Lois Lane, in the fall drama, starring Melissa Benoist, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Dewan-Tatum is one of many guest stars set for the first season, including “Super” alums Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

Lucy Lane is described as brash, funny and beautiful as her older sister Lois Lane. Strong, smart and successful in her own right, she’s got a history with Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and she’s come to town to right a previous wrong.

Fun fact: the actress’s husband, Channing Tatum, also just signed onto a major comicbook project, as he will play Gambit in the “X-Men” spinoff.

Jack Coleman is keeping busy when he isn’t lounging on a lake with “Heroes Reborn” co-star Greg Grunberg. The to-go guy for characters who seem straight-edge but are actually full of secrets is returning to ABC’s “Castle” this season, reprising his role as disgraced politico William Bracken, reports TV Line.
