Sony TV’s International Channels Launch Environmental PSA Campaign

Sony Pictures TV unveiled a PSA campaign Monday for the studio’s portfolio of international channels that aims to raise awareness of global environmental issues.

“Picture This” spotlights concerns about the depletion of Earth’s natural resources through on-air and online elements, events and viewer participation opportunities. Topics will include recycling in Russia and Italy, waste disposal in India and urban gardening in Latin America.

“With the reach of our global networks and the passion of our storytelling, we will both engage the community and energize people to action by picturing a better environment,” Andy Kaplan, president of worldwide networks for Sony Pictures Television, said.  “Collectively we can make noise heard around the world on behalf of issues that are central to everyone’s well-being and do it in an entertaining way.”

The campaign will run across 45 Sony- and AXN-branded channels in 30 languages, reaching 177 countries.
