‘Shadowhunters’ Photos: First Look at Katherine McNamara & ABC Family Cast in Action

Ahead of the Jan. 12 “Shadowhunters” premiere, ABC Family has released new episodic photos from the fantasy series.

The pictures from the premiere episode show Katherine McNamara’s Clary Fray interacting with Dominic Sherwood’s Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende’s Simon Lewis, Isaiah Mustafa’s Luke Garroway, and Maxim Roy’s Jocelyn Fray. Harry Shum Jr.’s character, Magnus Bane, is also in the first look photos.

The hotly-anticipated series is based on the young adult “Mortal Instruments” books by author Cassandra Clare. ABC Family’s television adaptation will follow Clary Fray, who discovers on her birthday that she comes from a long line of human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. With her new Shadowhunter allies and the help of a mysterious man named Jace (Sherwood), Clary has to track down her kidnapped mother.
