BAFTA winner Rhys Ifans (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”) will join Richard Jenkins in the Epix spy series “Berlin Station,” the network announced Thursday.

Ifans joins the ensemble to play Officer Hector DeJean, a charming agent who works for Chief Steven Frost (Jenkins). The 10-part contemporary spy series will follow case officers at the CIA foreign station in Berlin trying to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a whistleblower.

“Rhys is an international star whose ability to play a wide range of characters has placed him in the rarefied group of actors who travel seamlessly between feature films and premium television,” said Mark S. Greenberg, president and CEO of Epix, in a statement.

Jenkins joined the cast earlier this month. Production on the series is scheduled to begin this fall, with the show premiering on Epix in the fall of 2016.

“Berlin Station” is produced by Paramount TV and Anonymous Content.
