Kim Fields Joins ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 8

After much speculation, Bravo has confirmed “The Facts of Life” alum Kim Fields is joining the cast of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” for Season 8.

Premiering Nov. 8, the new season of “RHOA” will feature Fields in a permanent role, while newcomer Shamea Morton and former “Atlanta” housewife Shereè Whitfield will be featured in recurring roles.

Returning cast members are Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, who was a “friend of the housewives” for Season 7, and now has been re-upped to the full-time cast.

The upcoming season will be the first without longtime housewife NeNe Leakes, who announced her departure from the franchise earlier this year.

Now a “friend of the housewives,” Whitfield was part of the full-time cast from the inaugural season in 2008 through season four. Morton is a former Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks cheerleader.

Though not listed in a recurring or permanent role, earlier this summer, Bravo filmed scenes with transgender model Amiyah Scott, who could appear in the show.

The first look at Fields in the hit reality series was revealed in the first Season 8 trailer released Monday (watch below).

“RHOA” premieres Nov. 8 at 8/7c, followed by the second season of “Untying the Knot” at 9/8c.
