Raymond Dooley has been appointed VP of marketing at TruTV, the company announced Monday.

Dooley will expand brand awareness for TruTV by generating and executing the network’s off-air marketing.

“We actually hired Raymond for his snappy, sartorial style and his frighteningly in-depth knowledge of Canadian teen melodramas,” joked Puja Vohra, senior VP of marketing and digital for TruTV. “The fact that he’s a crack marketer with a keen sense of all the moving pieces of what launching shows and building a brand today entails was icing on the cake!”

The marketing aficionado joins TruTV from SundanceTV, where he drove campaigns for productions including “Top of the Lake,” “Rectify,” “The Honorable Woman” and “The Returned.” Before SundanceTV, Dooley was director of marketing for Nickelodeon.
