Endemol Shine North America co-chairmen and co-CEOs Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin announced Wednesday that the company has signed an overall producing deal with music producer and former “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson.

“We’re thrilled to have Randy joining our team at Endemol Shine North America,” said Abrego and Corwin. “He is one of the most respected talents in both the music and television industries, and we’re looking forward to developing projects with him to produce across our unscripted, scripted and digital businesses.”

Under the deal, Jackson will develop unscripted, scripted and digital programming that he will produce with the Endemol Shine North America team.

“I am so excited to be joining the Endemol Shine family and embark on this journey with one of the best companies in the world,” said Jackson. “Cris and Charlie are incredible leaders. I look forward to working with them and creating some magic.”

In addition to “Idol,” Jackson hosted “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew,” which aired from 2008 to 2012 on MTV. He has worked with musicians such as Smokey Robinson, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. He is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
