The story revolves around four estranged sisters who reunite to mourn what they believe is the suicide of their mother.
Alfred Molina, Jacki Weaver, Amy Smart and Tom Everett Scott are also on board the project from Cannonball Prods. Sean Hanish is directing and producing for Cannonball Prods. Lensing began last week in Los Angeles.
“Sister Cities” marks a reunion for the team behind the Emmy-nominated “Return to Zero,” toplined by Minnie Driver. Like “Sister Cities,” “Return to Zero” was independently produced and financed by Cannonball. After making the festival rounds, it was acquired by Lifetime and aired last year.
Paul Jaconi-Biery and Eleonore Dailly are producing “Sister Cities” with Hanish. Molina and CBS exec Kelly Kahl are exec producers.
