Pivot has promoted exec Jennie Morris to executive vice president of acquisitions, research and network operations, the network’s general manager Kent Rees announced Friday.
Formerly senior vice president of acquisitions and operations, Morris will, in her new role, oversee Pivot’s research and network operation, plus scheduling, feature films, documentaries and off-net series acquisitions.
“Jennie has been instrumental in helping to grow Pivot over the past 18 months,” Rees said. “She is the rare executive that has both the ability to bring an analytical eye to the programming lineup and a creative eye for what will appeal to our audience.”
During her time at Pivot, the Participant Media TV network has seen steady viewership growth and continuously analyzes viewer data in to adjust the schedule to changing viewer habits.
Before joining the network, Morris was vice president of affiliate marketing for AMC/Sundance Channel Global. Prior to that, she held the position of senior director of program planning and scheduling for Sundance Channel. Morris was at Showtime Networks for six years with roles including senior manager of new media, senior manager of international business development and supervisor of scheduling.
Morris will continue to be based in Los Angeles, and will report to Rees.
