Pitbull will appear on “Empire’s” second season, joining a slew of celebrity guest stars. The singer will play himself, in addition to performing on the hit show.

Fox made the announcement Thursday morning at the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where the “Empire” cast and creators are set for a panel presentation.

Though Pitbull’s “Empire” date is not set yet, he will appear sometime in the fall. Details on his episode are scarce, but he will perform “No Doubt About It” with Jamal (Jussie Smollett).

Pitbull is one of many guest stars for the new season, including Mariah Carey in a top-secret role, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Ludacris and recurring player Adam Rodriguez, who will play a potential love interest for Cookie (Emmy-nominated Taraji P. Henson).

“Empire” returns Sept. 23.
