ABC’s ‘Wicked City’ Reveals Killer Series Posters (EXCLUSIVE)

ABC has released some “Wicked City” posters to die over.

The network has unveiled to Variety exclusively the first key art for the true-crime procedural drama created by Steven Baigelman.

The series stars Ed Westwick and Erika Christensen, who is absent from these posters, as serial killers who thrive on picking off members of the Aqua Net-soaked masses in Los Angeles’ punk rock heydey. Fittingly, these posters will soon appear on the Whisky A Go Go on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.

ABC plans to treat the show like an anthology, tackling a different crime and era each year.

“We will be doing one case per season,” Baigelman said during the show’s Television Critics Association panel. “And some of our characters will find their stories ending in this season, and some of our characters will be moving on to another time and another place and another case.”

He also said that, while the show isn’t based on any particular killers, “the time period of Los Angeles in the early ’80s when it was both the murder capital of the country and also the serial killer capital of the country. People come [to L.A.] for fame and recognition, not only to be actors and musicians, but somehow, oddly, serial killers came here as well for that same reason.”

Wicked City” premieres at 10 p.m. Oct. 27 on ABC.
