Get ready for some “Blunt Talk.”

The half-hour comedy series from executive producer Seth MacFarlane — and starring Patrick Stewart — will debut on Saturday, August 22, at 9pm ET/PT.

The 10-episode first season tells the tale of Walter Blunt, a cable newsman and U.K. transplant on a mission to teach Americans how to think, act and behave. But his wild off-air antics suggest a highly unorthodox teaching style.

Jonathan Ames, who created the series, serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer, along with Tristram Shapeero (“Community”) and Stephanie Davis (“Bored to Death”). The show hails from MRC.

The series also stars Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”) as Blunt’s producer-manager; Adrian Scarborough (“The King’s Speech”) as his manservant; Dolly Wells (“Doll & Em”) as his senior producer; and Timm Sharp (“Enlightened”) as his head writer.

“Blunt Talk” will be followed by the premiere of the 10-episode second season of “Survivor’s Remorse,” at 9:30pm ET/PT. Mike O’Malley serves as star and executive producer of the comedy series, along with EPs Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, LeBron James, Mike O’Malley, Paul Wachter, Victor Levin and Hilton Smith.
