Patrick Kelly has been promoted to exec VP of business affairs for TBS and TNT.

Kelly, who is based in Los Angeles, reports to Sandra Dewey, president of TNT and TBS Productions and business affairs for TBS/TNT parent Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.

Kelly handles business affairs for all original entertainment productions for TNT and TBS and oversees the day-to-day deal making behind the brands’ original programming. He also oversees co-productions between the two networks and Turner International — as well as international distribution and worldwide home video of TBS and TNT’s wholly owned programming — and he is a member of TBS and TNT’s senior executive team.

“Pat is recognized both internally at Turner and across the television community as the gold standard of professional and smart deal making,” Dewey said. “As the television business continues to shape-shift at a rapid pace, Pat’s contributions to the strategy and business management of our original programming are more valued than ever.”

Kelly has been with Turner Entertainment’s business affairs department since 2002.
