“Electus is thrilled to partner with WGN America on its first unscripted drama. Just as we have seen with other series in this genre, viewers around the world will be captivated by this unparalleled, in-depth look at an American subculture,” said John Pollak, president of Electus International.
“Outlaw Country” makes its world premiere Feb. 24 on WGN America, and the season will consist of seven hourlong episodes. The series is produced by Bischoff Hervey Entertainment. The unscripted series explores criminal activity from both sides of the law in a small town, following two rival sets of brothers in Buckner, Missouri — one from law enforcement and the other from the streets — via a real-life ride-along with a street crew, known as Alliance, living as modern “outlaws.”
A behind-the-scenes special for the docuseries, “Outlaw Country: Bad Blood,” will also air on WGN America and Tribune Broadcasting stations nationwide.
