Oprah Winfrey has set a deal with Flatiron Books to publish a memoir in 2017 with an emphasis on inspirational advice.
All of my experiences, even the painful ones, have been there to teach me something about life,” Winfrey said. “I’m still learning and I hope my story inspires other people to live the highest, fullest expression of themselves.”
The book, titled “The Life You Want,” promises to offer never-before told stories on Winfrey’s life. It is meant to shine a light on the ability for anyone to change the trajectory of their life. Winfrey in 2011 segued from a 24-year run at the top of the daytime talkshow pack to becoming a cable TV mogul with OWN.
“We’re deeply honored to publish ‘The Life You Want,’ which is such a remarkable combination of Oprah’s life story and the lessons we can all draw from it for our personal growth,” Bob Miller, president and publisher of Flatiron Books, said.
“The Life You Want,” will be the first book released via Winfrey’s yet unnamed book imprint. The book is scheduled for publication in January 2017.
Flatiron previously published the Winfrey book “What I Know For Sure,” a collection of her columns from O magazine.
