Emmerich will play the longtime friend of Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) who joins the billionaire hedge fund honcho on an impromptu road trip that tests the limits of their bond.
“Billions,” which debuts Jan. 17, is set in the world of ultra-wealth on Wall Street and revolves around the power politics and finance of New York investment firms.
Lewis (“Homeland”) stars alongside Paul Giamatti, who plays the hard-charging, blue-blooded, politically connected U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades. The cast is rounded out by Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad.
Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin co-wrote and exec produce “Billions,” which is currently in production on the 12-episode series in New York. Neil Burger directed the pilot and will also serve as an exec producer.
Emmerich is repped by Gersh and BEP.
