NBC’s “Dateline” on Friday will feature a joint interview with 27 different women who have accused comedian and actor Bill Cosby of sexual assault, a feat the network is billing as the first time nearly half of the people who have accused Cosby of the crime have gathered together in the same place to discuss the issue.

Kate Snow, the NBC News correspondent who was recently named to host the Sunday edition of “NBC Nightly News,” will conduct the discussion.

This edition of  “Dateline” will air Friday at 9 p.m.

Snow also sat down separately with a small group of women known as “Jane Does,” who came forward in 2005 and agreed to tell their stories of being sexually assaulted by Cosby under oath anonymously. She also spoke with attorney Gloria Allred, who represents many of Cosby’s accusers.

The report comes as “Dateline” producers have expressed a desire to do more in-depth reporting around serious issues and big news stories.
